Slower pace suits these Nuggets

07:10 AM ET 09.30 | Since his hire, Brian Shaw has been running at just about top speed. Pacing himself in the midst of everything was important to Shaw. "What I didn't want to happen was for me to wear myself out before the season even started," he said. While he didn't want to be worn out, he does, however, want to mold an NBA team that wears out its opponents. ... He will let training camp decide which players fall into which roles, but more important, the month of practices and eight preseason games will be the guide to what the Nuggets' new identity will be. Under previous coach George Karl, it was all run, all the time. Shaw will likely blunt some of that breakneck pace and will likely slot in a mixture of speed to continue using the altitude to the Nuggets' advantage.

I think they'll still make the playoffs this year if Lawson is healthy.

If I were you I wouldn't bet the mortgage on that.

Not betting but they do still have a good team and Lawson is pretty good.

Lawson is VERY good. Which again shows how STUPID the NY Knicks are. They could've had him, but no. Needing a PG like Dick Cheney needed a heart transplant, they draft PF Jordan Hill at the 8th spot instead. Who, by the way, isn't even onthe team anymore. Dolan should be run out of town on a rail.
