Dwightmare narrative left Howard 'very upset'

07:14 AM ET 09.30 | Near the conclusion of the Dwightmare, a report claimed that Dwight Howard was having second thoughts. The news sparked the latest public bashing of Howard in the social media world, with fans and media alike criticizing him for what appeared to be another dose of unnecessary drama. The problem, Howard said, is that it never happened. "That was not the case," Howard told USA TODAY Sports. "I was very upset about it when all that stuff started to come out because that's not what was going on. I decided ... the night before it came out, and my thinking was, 'Let me get back to L.A. and sit in front of (Lakers general manager) Mitch (Kupchak) and give the Lakers that respect.' I wanted to tell them in person." ... "I just didn't like the way that it happened," Howard said.

He has a chance to write a good ending to his book. It's time to just play!

This is his third team in 5 years.
That's almost a journeyman in the NBA.
Fortunately for D12 he's still a star.
He has indicated he wants to win both DPOY & a championship so that's a good start.

Until he fixes his offensive woes, he isn't going to win a championship.

How you doing, my friend?

Apparently he didn't learn anything from his experience in Orlando. He should have been smart enough to handle it better. Then again, no one ever accused him of being smart.

Just write a new history by winning a championship in Houston. There's no better way to put the past behind you than winning. Now stop talking.

I think it would have been a classy move to tell your former boss that you are leaving face to face.

At this point, who cares? Certainly not any Laker fans..........
