07:42 PM ET 09.30 | The UConn Huskies dismissed Paul Pasqualoni today after a 41-12 loss to Buffalo on Saturday, leading to an 0-4 start for the Hukskies. The school held a press conference at 4 p.m. to announce the Pasqualoni firing and name offensive coordinator T.J. Weist the interim coach. Associate head coach and offensive line coach George DeLeone has been fired as well. The 0-4 start was the program's first since 1991, when UConn participated on the FCS level, and the offense is bad enough to make on'e eyes bleed, as they rank 121st in the FBS in total offense, 109th in scoring and 109th in interceptions thrown. Weist, a coach with more than 25 years of experience and most recently served as the wide receivers coach at Cincinnati, is in his first season as the offensive coordinator in 2013. He was also the Bearcats recruiting coordinator for the past year.

Pasqualoni stepped in as DC for Dallas when Wade Phillips was fired, he ran a simplified zone defense that salvaged the remainder of the season. Then he left for UConn. I hoped he'd do well.

Why do Uconn fans hold up #1? Is it for their basketball team?

UConn has the worst offense in the FBS and the AD promotes the offensive co-ordinator, who is reponsible for that offense, the head coach? It seems that the OC should have been fired and replaced rather than the head coach

And yet they had mighty Michigan on the ropes and should have actually won that game.
