04:46 PM ET 10.01 | Undefeated prospect Sergio Pettis, the younger brother of UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, has signed with the UFC. The news was confirmed with Pettis' jiu jitsu coach, Daniel "Big Dog" Wanderley. Pettis (9-0) is coming off of a win over the weekend on the local circuit in his hometown of Milwaukee. The RFA flyweight champion is set to make his UFC debut at UFC 167 in Las Vegas, but no opponent has been announced. Also, in a bit of a surprising move, Pettis' debut in the UFC will reportedly be in the bantamweight division. Pettis had previous offers from the UFC, but turned them down in an effort to gain more experience before making the jump. Apparently, it worked out.
