Brandon Weeden thinks he'll get another shot as Browns starter

04:49 PM ET 10.01 | The Cleveland Browns struggled to start the season with Brandon Weeden running the offense, but since an injury to the thumb on his throwing hand opened the door for backup quarterback Brian Hoyer, the team has reached new heights with two straight wins to pull their record to 2-2. Hoyer is once again slated as the starting quarterback for the team's Week 5 game, but Weeden is not giving up hope that he can regain the starting job once he is healthy. Unfortunately for Weeden, it will be hard to get back in the starting lineup if Hoyer continues to play as he has. Hoyer has looked like a legitimate quarterback since taking over and he certainly has the Browns offense rolling better than the former first-round pick, so there would be no reason for the Browns to take a step back and ruin the chemistry that Hoyer has built with Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron.

Just says he hasn't given up hope yet.

Misleading headline.

It's a long season and injuries do happen in the NFL.

Only if he shoots and kills every other Browns QB.

An injury is the only way Weeden gets another start for Cleveland this year.

Yes if Hoyer breaks a leg or something. Maybe you should go to Tampa?

Not true!! If Hoyer begins to play bad it could easily bounce back to Weedon. That said, it is now Hoyer's job to keep or lose.....Hoyer can decide his own fate!
