07:20 AM ET 10.03 | For now, the Alabama career of safety HaHa Clinton-Dix is on pause. [Clinton-Dix] has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, Nick Saban said after Wednesday's practice. Saban would not comment about what Clinton-Dix, who was seen at Wednesday's practice, did to specify the violation. "I'm going to be consistent. When guys get suspended, I never ever say what it's for. All right?" Saban said. "So, I'm not going there, so don't ask me. It's the way it always happens. Every guy. If they do right, they wouldn't be getting suspended. I don't know for how long this will be, so don't ask me that either." ... Clinton-Dix, a third-year junior, is considered to be one of the nation's best safeties and has been projected as a potential first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Nearly all (if not ALL) schools have this policy don't they? I don't think they ever say why. They just let the rumor mill take care of it.

My guess he got suspended for attending class or doing his homework.

Must have taken a third hit on the joint passed around the DB meeting.

Team rules: puff, puff, pass. Third hit was a violation.

Whatever it was it had to be pretty severe for him to get suspended. Most things just get passed over.

Actually, we suspend players a lot. Just lik every other school.

I'd prefer that all coaches refuse to comment on the reasons and lengths of player suspensions. It's smart policy for the school, the program, and the players.

Furthermore, they should punish leakers - team punishment up to dismissal for players and fines, suspensions without pay, up to termination for employees.

The team violation happened before the A&M game, but Saban knew he needed this guy so he waited until now for the suspension.....so he will have to miss the first series in this game.

BTW, where is the uproar about Bama playing Georgia State?

And as far as I've seen, almost nothing has been reported on Bama breaking NCAA regulations by having a member of their staff stealing signs for them in the coaches' box in the Ole Miss game.

Good grief, dude. Are you even serious? He "stole" their sign, they signaled it down, and changed the defensive play all in about 4 seconds? Have you lost all reason and logic?

The devious one is hiding something from the NCAA........

So, no it was not breaking NCAA regulations. Sometimes I seriously wonder if you know anything about college football.
