Jaguars not shopping veteran players

06:38 PM ET 10.03 | After the news surfaced on Wednesday afternoon that the Jacksonville Jaguars had traded starting offensive tackle Eugene Monroe to the Baltimore Ravens for a Day 3 draft pick, there was immediately speculation that a fire sale could soon be taking place with many of the team's veteran players. One of the top names would have been running back Maurice Jones-Drew, but Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said on Around the League that the Jaguars were not actively shopping their top veteran players. Of course, Rapoport followed that up by saying the team "would listen - as any team would - if the deal is good enough," so anything remains possible. When you consider that the Jags are not going anywhere this season, it may not be a bad move for the team to trade off their valuable assets and stockpile draft picks for their rebuilding - especially when you look at the strength of the 2013 NFL Draft class.

MJD is a good back. A shame that he's got to run behind a non-existant line with no QB.

Hasn't anyone picked up Tebow yet? I mean his fans think he is just great. A solid pick for the Jags. Must be a conspiracy against him, or everyone knows he sucks.

Might not be shopping their vet players, but I'll bet that they're shopping FOR veteran players.
