06:45 PM ET 10.03 | It's looking less likely each day that Danny Amendola will be unable to suit up this week for the New England Patriots, and the team has decided to bring in some veteran wide receiver depth to complement their young receiving corps, as Austin Collie is reportedly signing with them. Collie spent three productive years with the Indianapolis Colts, averaging 58 catches from 2009 through 2011. But a series of concussions helped limit Collie's ability to stay on the field for Indianapolis. During the third game of the 2012 season against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Collie suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee, causing him to miss the rest of the 2012 season. He was cut by San Francisco at the end of training camp this year.

Am I the only one who has a bit of a problem with that first phrase?

It's less likely that he'll be unable to suit up so they are bringing in Concussion Collie?

Yeah, the daily FS inability to even copy an article.

Anything with the word Amendola is a bit of a problem.

Amendola just can't stay healthy. Hoodie should have known that and put his ego aside to keep Welker.

Bring back Randy Moss

Is this an episode of Lassie? They're bringing in a Collie to find Danny and bring him home?

I'd have gone with Rin Tin Tin.

It's not in his DNA to do so.

Pats should make the Giants an offer for Nicks.

No.

I wonder what Amendola could do if he could stay healthy for half a season...

A loose lip and a dropped drive killing SB pass sealed his fate.

I cringed every time this guy caught a pass after his 62nd concussion. Now he's more of a ticking time bomb than a simple injury risk.

Every time Collie has tried out with a team since July I was surprised another team was considering walking him to the morgue. Luckily, each time the team decided against it. Until now.

Less vs More. Let's think about it.

T.O. is available.

Nice to have a Collie around, in case Little Timmy, er, Tommy ever gets trapped in a well or something.
