06:41 PM ET 10.03 | UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell became one of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts because of his exciting fighting style that always left the fans pleased, but the same style has not been implemented by some of the biggest stars in the sports today. One of the UFC champions who most commonly receives criticism for his tactical approach is welterweight king Georges St-Pierre, who relies heavily on his wrestling to control opponents and avoid any risks on his feet. When Liddell was speaking on GSP in a recent interview, he was very outspoken about how the 170-pound champ fights and he began to call for St-Pierre to become more aggressive and exciting rather than play it safe.

Why? So, he can risk getting KO'd like Chuck in his last 6 or so fights?

GSP is a machine who studies, evaluates then executes a game plan to perfection. He is a cyborg. Why change something that has worked perfectly for years now? GSP's fans have no problem with his technical superiority.

I get as much fun out of watching GSP maul, embarrass and manhandle other pros. Look at the expressions of guys after the 2nd or 3rd round, when they are ready to toss in the towel because they are no match for his precise striking, perfect takedown techniques and unequalled ground and pound.

He may not knock guys out, but you could argue it is more demoralizing for opponents to get schooled for 25 minutes than having a quick nap.

Totally agree.
The UFC has to be the only professional sports franchise where a champion gets criticized for winning.
It's ridiculous...GSP absolutely dominates when he wrestles, so he should change his tactics because nobody can compete? So he's supposed to give the other guy a chance? Just for entertainment? It's asisnine...
The problem is not GSP, the problem is that the welterweight class is not very good right now.

We'll see how the fight with Hendricks goes, who is supposed to be a great wrestler...but as always, I'm sure GSP will have the perfect plan.
