McNamee tried to warn Clemens

Roger Clemens' legal team may have produced the strongest evidence that his former trainer Brian McNamee is telling the truth about his drug use. Two investigators employed by Clemens' attorney Rusty Hardin met with McNamee at his home on Dec. 12, the day before the Mitchell Report was released. A transcript of that conversation as well as one of a Dec. 5 phone call between McNamee and Jim Murray, an employee of Clemens' agents, were made public on Wednesday. In the conversations McNamee is clearly trying to warn Clemens and Andy Pettitte about what is coming in the Mitchell Report, but he never wavers from the story he told federal investigators and Mitchell. "I just wanted to tell you I'm sick to my stomach," McNamee says in the Dec. 5 phone conversation with Murray. "I'm just trying to tell Roger and Andy that they're going to be in the Mitchell Report." Even as McNamee paints a picture of being pushed into talking by the feds, he never once said he lied to them.

McNamee, you trained him and supplied him, and injected him. According to your testimony. You purchased the stuff from Radomski, and apprently elsewhere. You are not Roger's doctor. So you wrned him the **** was going to hit the fan. But you are not a hero.

Bob, I see you have back your true colors. Damn, i could not say one bad word against your futile protestations and Yankee baiting yesterday because of a promise I made to a Red Sox cohort of yours. But Valentine's day is over now. I was hoping when you had on the illustrious colors of good and righteousness that maybe you would see the truth and renounce your allegiance to the evilness that is the Boston Red Sox. But i see that you can't change the tigers true stripes just by painting him over with another's cloak. How sad....;)

This is another "detail" that make me believe McNamee over Clemens.

While it is boring to go over more details "that sound very stupid as in this case", I think one way to know that a person is closer to the truth is by looking at the details of his story.

McNamee sounds too confident. Short answers, more details, higher confidence .... while Clemens uses lengthier incoherent answers with little details.

Good mornign everyone. I'm making sure I get on the boards early today since I always seem to miss the boat on the good conversations. 4192 don't turn to the dark side. Bob how are you throwing an * on 1996 and 1998 when no one was on anything back then (they probably were but none of the evidence shows anything before 1998). And Clemens didn't come to the Bronx until 1999 where he was a loser and road Jeter, O'Neill, Brosius and Tino's coat tails to a WS ring. So thoe first 3 years of the dynasty I'd say are legit. As for 2000 maybe maybe not. Then again you ready to put an * on all 3 Patriots championships?

" Brian poked a needle in Roger's rear
then hid the stash in a can of beer.
But once the Feds started closing in
Brian warned poor Roger of their sin ".
