08:11 PM ET 10.03 | Yesterday it was reported that Alabama Crimson Tide safety and potential 2014 first-round pick HaHa Clinton-Dix had been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules and today we have a better understanding of why. According to reports, Alabama's assistant strength and conditioning coach Corey Harris has been placed on administrative leave for allegedly providing impermissible permits and money to the junior safety at some point over the summer. By providing money to Clinton-Dix as a "loan," Harris is in direct violation of NCAA bylaw 16.11.2.2, which permits employees from providing any money or benefits to the players. In addition to the money, Harris has been found to have connection to a sports agent.

"...PERMITS employees from providing any money..."

I think the word you're looking for is PROHIBITS.

The Coach and HaHa should know better. I understand it was a loan and he paid it back, but it just looks bad. Bama's not like most schools who can get away with this kind of stuff. There are too many eyes on Bama and everyone one is looking for some way to bring Bama down because they can't get it done on the field.

Paid it back how, with what? Was Booster envelope late in coming?
Rationalization of a mess; caught red-handed.

Well how do you pay your bills and with what? Where does your money come from? I don"t know Where he got the money it was summer so maybe he mowed some lawns it's really none of my business where he gets his money from. I agree he broke a rule and so did the couch, and they are receiving there medicine for it. At least Bama has a program that will police their own and not try to cover it up, and for that I have a lot of respect.

He's right FJJ...he didn't deny that the kid got money from a coach, which we all know is improper and possibly prohibited by the NCAA....it was a "loan" which he "paid back"...kind of like Bomar's job at the car dealership where he "worked"...or the house that Bush's parents lived in was because of their hard earned money....etc.

LOL

tidefan ... for what it's worth ... I respect your posts and your body of work here on FN. Unlike many of the posters in here you don't seem interested in character assaults, shat slinging or running around poking everyone in the eye with a stick. I may not agree with evrthing you say but I respect the way in which you say it.
