Schiano losing the Bucs

07:16 AM ET 10.04 | Josh Freeman is gone from Tampa, and, with him, goes a bit of Greg Schiano's reputation. NFL Media columnist Michael Silver, speaking Thursday on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access Kickoff," said he asked one Buccaneers player if Schiano is at risk of "losing his team." "Unless we start winning games ASAP, absolutely," the player told Silver. Silver paraphrased the player saying there is too much "gosh-darned" talent on the team to keep on losing. The ugly series of back-and-forth stories about Freeman's situation could jeopardize Schiano's connection with his players. NFL Media's Deion Sanders said his sources in the Buccaneers locker room are not "100 percent riding with this coach and his philosophies." Silver mentioned that some players believe Schiano micromanages too much.

Well, Mr. Dominik... I guess this isn't how you had it planned is it?

The headline is incorrect.

It should be in the past tense, as he has already lost them.

If I'm the owner I'm having a long talk with my GM about this mess.

Indeed... it seems like the GMs are held the least-accountable when the poop starts hitting the fan.

As a fan of a team with quite possibly the most unaccountable GM in the league...

I concur.

Have a long talk with the GM. Fire the GM. Then fire the coach.

That might be the only way to right that pirate ship.

He's a college football coach, he's treating them like kids, micromanages. That yelling, screaming at players is old school, lets see how long he lasts after losing more games and players!

He's the same skunk he's always been. Even at RU he was skating on thin ice. Luckily he knew someone that knew someone to help him stay as long as he did.

Here's the rub with Schiano and the Bucs though. He has 3 yrs left on his contact at $9M and the Glazers are known for being tight with their wallets.

The Buc's should have got rid of him long ago. His lack of class etc perfectly sits him for an assistant position under Belicheat
