09:20 PM ET 10.04 | The Cleveland Browns suffered a big loss at the quarterback position on Thursday night when starting signal-caller Brian Hoyer went down with a torn ACL in his right knee, so they are wasting no time in looking at veteran options to bolster their depth at the position. According to reports, the Browns have reached out to Tyler Thigpen and are expected to meet with him later today. This is not the first team that has been interested in Thigpen over the past few months. Earlier in the offseason, he was receiving interest from the Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins.

Somewhere, Tebow is asking the question: "Why hast thou forsaken me, Lord?"

Tyler Thigpen? Seriously this says alot about what teams think about Josh Freeman

If it weren't for bad luck the Browns would have no luck at all.

*Gloom, despair and agony on them* :-(

They would be foolish to go near Freeman. The Browns are on the right path, Freeman would just make it messy for them down the road. Not worth it because he is just not that good, but he thinks he is.

Never heard of the guy and he's a 7 year vet. Looked up his stats and I understand why. I'd have to go with Freeman. I'd make the call to Mississippi before calling Tebow. Hell I'd play with 10 men and snap the ball directly to the half back before calling Teblow.

Exactly. The Hoyer injury has upset the apple cart, but signing Freeman could potentially knock it over.
