09:28 PM ET 10.04 | Just when you thought things couldn't get worse for the New York Giants, they do. Veteran offensive guard Chris Snee is more than likely to undergo surgery on his hip that will keep him out for the remainder of the season. While the Giants are waiting to hear back about Jon Beason's physical, they're preparing themselves for Sunday's showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles at home. Offensive lineman James Brewer will continue to lock down Snee's right guard position as the Giants enter a four game stretch before their bye week.

And that's nothing to Snee at.

Ugly year for Giants. Down to three CBs , raiding their practice squad for bodies and OL to be chosen from a McDonalds menu. Tough game football NFL style.

My guess is he retires before next season starts, and someday becomes an OL coach. A good guy but too young to just sit around for the next forty years.

Not what one would be expecting this early in the season. Though going into the season I wasn't expecting much more than 8-8 anyway.

Giants need to bring in someone to remove the voodoo curse they have this year. A little "ooh eeh ooh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang" and a chicken to sacrifice just might do the trick.

Did someone dig up e remains of Jimmy Hoffa from the meadowlands and unleash a curse on the Giants?

Yes. They used him as a prop on the last episode of the sopranos. You can watch it on Hulu.

Anyone can see that this is a lost season for the Giants. The best thing they can do is get the starters out when they fall behind by 21 points, and start looking at what the younger players can do. Trade Nicks to the Pats for a handful of picks, and look ahead to who might be available in FA for next year.

I'm amazed Tom Coughlin hasn't blown his gasket yet.

Maybe he doesn't have one anymore?
