Cowboys don't expect to have Miles Austin vs. Broncos

09:29 PM ET 10.04 | The Dallas Cowboys have a huge Week 5 matchup this weekend against the undefeated Denver Broncos and it appears that they could be without one of their top offensive threats. After missing practice again on Friday, wide receiver Miles Austin is not expected to take the field. Miles initially injured his hamstring during Week 3 against the St. Louis Rams and he has not seen the field since. If Miles is on the sideline as is expected, rookie Terrance Williams will fill in opposite No. 1 wideout Dez Bryant, while Dwayne Harris fills in the slot role.

I see why Romo is already making excuses for the Cowboys' impending loss.

Poor Dallas, at least you'll have an excuse for why the Broncos destroy you. Just blame it on not being fully healthy, instead of admitting that you're simply not the better team.

Denver 48 Dallas 21.

I agree with it being a blow out but I have the score being Denver 38, Dallas 24. I think the score won't indicate just how badly Denver will win the game, Dallas will score some garbage time points but I think Peyton and the Broncos will win this one easily.

Agreed.

The Cowboys have offensive threats? Where have they been keeping them?

October 5, 2013  09:29 AM ET

I like Austin but I'm getting fed up with those glass legs.

This guy is always hurt.

Dallas' only chance is not with their passing game anyway. They need to run the ball and keep Peyton on the sideline, which means Murray needs about 150 on the ground.

Not going to happen. Denver wins 38-13.

What I want to know is why are we being stupid by not picking up Terrell Owens?

It does seem that way

I'm a big Broncos fan, but this is going to be closer than you think. Denver's defense is just too decimated and they are playing in the 'Boys house. 42-38...and I'm not sure who will have the 42...

Did you watch how SD manhandled Dallas?

Yes, it's blowout time.

They keep them in the trainer's room, apparently.

Maybe he'll pull himself out of the game with an 'undisclosed' upper body injury?

In Jerry Jones suite?

October 5, 2013  11:17 AM ET

Pick up Terrell Owens.

October 5, 2013  12:24 PM ET

The only chance Dallas has Sunday is if Peyton goes down.

After Sunday, all the teams in the NFC East will have records under .500

Dallas- will they be 2-3 or 3-2

Washington and Philadelphia are 1-3 and NYG's are 0-4.

Dallas coulld lose and be 2-3 and still have a 1/2 or 1 game lead over Washington and Philadelphia if the NYG's can beat Philadelphia.

And you don't hear their Daddy's crying like Craig James did when Mike Leach kept James son out of practice because of a concussion.

What ever happened to James's future NFL superstar son ?
