09:35 PM ET 10.04 | It was announced on Thursday that the Boston Bruins and defenseman Dennis Seidenberg have agreed to a four year, $16 million contract. This will keep Seidenberg around a few more years, as his current deal with the team is expiring at the end of the season. This is good news for Bruins fans especially, as Seidenberg has been pretty good for the team since he got there back in 2010 through a trade with the Florida Panthers. Having Seidenberg alongside Zdeno Chara will prove to be great for the next few years, as they have looked good on the line together in the past.

Morgan Rielly on HNIC @ 7 pm EDT?

If he plays well while Fraser is out it will probably mean Celine will need a real estate agent.

MacKinnon 3 - Jones 1

The kid has the goods. I'm not sure he's ready for prime time on a regular basis yet.

3 to 1. That sounds about the right ratio when comparing a top forward to a top D-man. Different breeds of cat, though. Different functions.

It is obvious that MacKinnon looks a lot more ready for prime time than Jones does at this point of their development, which makes sense. D-men take longer to reach their peak.

I'd be very happy with either of them in a Wings jersey.

At least Handy Randy didn't pair him with Celine so he should get a fair shake. :-)

Carrying a veteran along is a lot to ask of a 19yr old rookie.

Gardiner?

Yep, and man I know way too much about the Leafs. ;-)

Celine already does. If he's re-signed, Nonis loses all credibility he's built so far. It makes no sense when you've got 12+ FA's of the U and R variety, and you're going to go give Pinchie a fat extension?

Well Little Davey is Burkie's bum buddy so "Celine Back to Calgary" is a possibility.

Sorry Harry.

That's a good thing .... isn't it?

Seidenberg is underrated and very reliable D-man. Usually at the top of the League in blocked shots and helps solidify the blueline while the B's young'ns continue to develop (Hamilton, Krug, Bartkowski).

No but in Canada the Leafs are like the Cowpies. Love 'em or hate 'em you'll still hear all about them. :-)

He's no Uwe Krupp but I like him too. :-)

Uwe Krupp... now if there was only a Jesper Krupp or Uwe Jesper in the League. I bet a player with a name like that could even beat Shojn Podein and his inflatable dinosaur adventures.
