09:24 AM ET 10.05 | Tony La Russa and Walt Jocketty may have had a long and successful run together in St. Louis, but don't expect a reunion in Cincinnati even with the Reds having a managerial opening in the wake Dusty Baker's firing. La Russa, attending Game 1 of the AL Division Series between the Tigers and Athletics here Friday night, told CBSSports.com that he has no interest in managing again. "Walt's had more than enough of me," said La Russa, who celebrated his 69th birthday Friday. "In fact, I talked to him today and told him that and he said, "You're right. I agree.'?"

At 69 why would he want to deal with that again?

I was surprised that Baker got let go but he'll bounce back. He's been a winner but never has gotten his team to that final level.

This opening changes things for the Cubbies. Where would a quality manager prefer to be in the NL Central right now? Chicago or Cincinnati?

How about some playoff story lines, interns?

Asking LaRussa if he wanted to manage the reds was a nonstarter. If La Russa wanted to manage he would have stayed in ST.L. La Russa has no intentions of managing any more.
