10:25 AM ET 10.06 | Of all the challenges Randy Carlyle faces as coach of the Maple Leafs, none may be more difficult than finding a common ground between coach and the immensely talented defenceman, Jake Gardiner. In a way, it is like having a race horse who needs to be tamed and disciplined. But without breaking spirit along the way. An NHL scout, who watched the Leafs first two games in Montreal and Philadelphia called Gardiner's play erratic through the pre-season and start of the regular season. In the report he filed to his team, he referred to his style of play as "shinny."

Maybe you should worry about last nights 33 turnovers Handy Randy.

"Mmmmmm turnovers" Rob Ford was overheard saying.

Also, Dave and Jonathan.

Admit it, that was some exciting hockey there last night.

I'm admitting nothing without my lawyer.

And it looks like your goalie controversy showed up sooner than you thought. ;-)

BTW nice photo. Is Handy bogarting a joint or showing off his tooth?

Lmao but he's been +1 in the past two games!

Hardest hit he's taken in years....

And as for his +/- the only explanations can be less ice time or used only on the PP. :-)

QUOTE(#10):

It took all of 12 minutes of hockey for the fans to chant Bernier's name. Sorry Jimmy.

He can find solace in the fact that these same people used to chant "Let's Go Bluejays".

But let's face it Bernier stole that game.

You can find him today in Dallas taking in Broncos-Cowboys.

He's figuring one way or another he's eating some horse today.

Have fun with him, Otis.

LOL - And speaking of visits what's with the Lord sighting in the ACC last night. If I was HC I'd be very, very nervous.

Celine might be hearing, "go west young man".

QUOTE(#16):

Maybe expressing what he hopes happens to Kadri after he put him on a line with freakin Orr and McClement after getting a goal and an assist. I don't get it.

Also, about Gardiner, he led the Leafs in ice time last night until late.

I saw that. Maybe Handy Randy just read the "hold me back" article.

I has no problem with Gardiner last night.
