Tuck defends Giants' sputtering offense

07:11 AM ET 10.07 | From nearly every angle, the view of Big Blue's offense isn't pretty. Whether you were inside MetLife Stadium, watching on TV or simply looking at the box score of Sunday's 36-21 Giants loss to the Eagles, you had the distinct impression the offense is bogging the team down. ... Instead, [Justin Tuck] called out the Giants defense and challenged it to carry the offense while it works through its current struggles. "There is no way we're going to sit here and say something negative about our offense," Tuck said. "I've been around here long enough to understand that they've been through their ups and downs and we've been through our ups and downs. That offense has gotten us out of a lot of jams the defense has put us in. And right now, it's time for our defense to get them out of a jam."

How delusional do you have to be to defend an O-Fer team? "We lost every game, but not by much!"

Or maybe "We suck, but I bet we could beat Jacksonville."

giving up 38 to the Panthers was a good tip off that the defense totally sucks!

October 7, 2013  07:54 AM ET

Wow.

This team sucks worse than anyone imagined.

Pretty soon, Jacksonville will be scheduling a college team to be their Week 1 cupcake

I have one thing to say to Justin Tuck.........0-5!

October 7, 2013  08:36 AM ET

The offense is bad. The defense is bad. End of story.

October 7, 2013  08:39 AM ET

They may suck, but they are only 2 games back in the division. There's still time!

October 7, 2013  08:55 AM ET

I don't think the defense could get them out of a wet paper bag.

Wrong. Tuck knows how to unwrap a subway sandwich.

It is admirable that Tuck is defending his offensive, lthough they are offensive.....The crux of their problems center around their little cry baby (I won't play n San Diego) QB. Perhaps less TV cmmercials, and mor time on the practie fed maybe in order....

Time to dust off that classic quote from John McKay. When asked how he would describe his offense, he said he found it very offensive.

Love the McKay quotes...

I think I noticed in the fine print of a certain commercial featuring Justin Tuck that it was now a $6 Foot Long.

Likewise, the 0-5 Giants may soon be the 0-6 Giants.

October 7, 2013  09:26 AM ET

In an unprecedented move, NFL is using its flexible scheduling powers to arrange for Giants vs. Steelers in Week 6, or as it's better known, the "WTF happened? Bowl."

But you have it backwards.

There's a good article in USA online.

(Over rated) Eli is just trying to make things happen.

Romo has a fame for the ages and is labeled a losing chocker.
