Disconnected, toxic relationship in Chicago

07:14 AM ET 10.07 | Derrick Rose just may be player enough to solve what ails the Bulls -- maybe. With so much distrust and downright disdain between the Bulls' front office and coach, the ripples of Rose's resounding return on Saturday night ought to remind general manager Gar Forman and coach Tom Thibodeau of the stakes of surviving the organization's power struggle. Between Forman and Thibodeau the disconnect is deep, but Rose's reconstructed knee could be a powerful agent of reconciliation. With transcendent talents, there come redemptive powers. No one wants to be ousted with Rose on the roster. ... "It is a toxic relationship that I believe will ultimately derail them," one NBA coaching source with close ties to Thibodeau and Forman warned.

Forman better learn that pising off your superstar is no way to manage a team.
What do you expect from a guy who looks like Beaker from the Muppets?

Krause has been doing that all his life.

I wonder if the Media is not blowing a small agreement out of proportion. Sometimes little disagreements are good, as long as the coach recognizes who the boss is and the boss shows some respect to his employee/coach.

They need Thibodeau. What has Foreman given them?

Doubtful, since Forman fired Ron Adams who was Thibs top assistant and a close friend of his to boot. The situation isn't as bad as Krause/Jackson but it's getting close to that.

A rising young star in Jimmy Butler, a potential lottery pick from Charlotte in exchange for a bust (Tyrus Thomas) and traded for the rights to the best player in Europe (Nikola Mirotic) who should be joining the team in 2014. Last years #1, Marcus Teague is ready to play solid minutes in relief of Derrick Rose. Other than that, not much I guess

They need to fire Forman ASAP

Kobe's fault.

Yes, exactly. If Kobe hadn't blossomed into a rising star back in '98, then the Jordan era would have continued longer, with Phil staying with Chicago, and Krause leaving. They would have won another title or two, and everything would have been dandy - with the new era beginning smoothly, and Jordan and Pippen taking jobs with the Bulls to help attract top players and get them back to winning titles as soon as possible.Yeah.

Phil was never staying. Krause wasn't ready to keep MJ, Pippen and Phil.
