Tortorella makes unthinkable move

07:27 AM ET 10.07 | For a time Sunday night in Calgary, it seemed Eddie Lack would be hung out to dry in his first NHL start. For the first 44 minutes, Lack could have sued his teammates for lack of support. ... Lack faced 26 shots through the first two periods. After the Flames took a 3-1 lead early in the third period, Canucks coach John Tortorella made a move many around the hockey world would find unthinkable, separating the best twin brother combination in NHL history. Henrik and Daniel Sedin switched to different lines. The result was both Sedins set up goals to get the Canucks back in the game. "It was not just to split them up," Tortorella said. "We had six body checks and four scoring chances in two periods. We were dead in the water, so it's an easy decision just to change things up."

Stupid Flames. They look like 100 yard sprinters in a 200 yard race so far this year.

No worries HC. Burkie will trade for Celine and Reimer. All will be well.

At least the ice surface didn't do them in HC. Jets and Flames suffer from the same disease - they've got more talent than they think they have, and they have to learn to be patient - like playing the situational game, for instance. Sometimes you just have to be content with playing the boring grind it up kind of game. Anaheim tried trapping the Jets almost all game long, and the Jets were almost feasting on it at first. But then they wanted to pick up, and the rest of the game looked like pure frustration.

I saw about 45 seconds of this game.

When I first skipped in Tortorella had just put them out seperately.

When I next skipped in, 2 seconds after I did the OT winner was scored.

You're welcome Harry.

It's not like they're conjoined twins. What's the big deal?

Reimer i will take . Glencross should have got first assist on the second Cannots goal , and our Resident Rock em Sock em Robot should have gotten one for another. Stupid Flames gave away a win......AGAIN.
