07:28 AM ET 10.07 | Clapping together a goalie glove and blocker may not sound like much from the bench, but James Reimer's support of Jonathan Bernier made some noise Saturday night. Reimer had been replaced earlier in the night by the man who is in competition to take the No. 1 job away full time. But Reimer said he wasn't thinking about that as he saluted his rival. "I'm not going to sit on the bench and hope my teammate plays bad," Reimer said. "Then we'll probably lose. The only disappointing thing about me getting pulled (after four goals on 21 shots) is that I knew what kind of team we have here and that we were going to come back. Bernie got the opportunity to get in there and he played great. You never feel bad about a win." Reimer knows he has a session with goaltending consultant Rick St. Croix on Monday.

No. I saw it too.

At least neither of us are nuts.

Probably written by a Leafs fan. We all have our challenges.....

But more importantly,

How bout dem Leafs?

Last year was no fluke boys. The acquisition of Bernier alone has moved this team way, way up.

For my money, the East is either PGH, BOS or TOR. Everyone else can try again next year.

Wish the Leafs would've kept Monster as their #1.

Its Boston's defensive efficiency that scares me far more than Rask does. A great goalie only gets you so far (see Rangers, NY)

its the consistency of their 3rd and 4th line as well. They produce and are trusted.

Now he's yours to worry about.

I like Reimer, but gotta admit there is not much about Bernier so far that I don't like!

Nice.... :)
