07:18 AM ET 10.08 | When it comes to guard play, Mark Jackson certainly knows of what he speaks, and he's offered a challenge to Steph Curry entering 2013-14. Me: What is your challenge to Steph this year? MJ: My only thing with Steph, and he knows it, is that he has to do a better job taking care of the basketball. I asked him before camp started, what's the biggest thing for him in camp? And he said 'taking care of the basketball.' And I said, no. And he looked at me like I was crazy. And I said, no -- coming out of camp healthy. That's the biggest thing. So I don't want to put any demands on his body, or doing crazy stuff in the middle of practice, trying to split two guys and spin. Take care of the basketball, continually get better, and stay healthy.

The word is out. Teams are going to find ways to defend Curry. I'd like to see him get more assists.

He is not a true PG but he needs to get his assist up to be one. He is a SG in a PG's body. There's also nothing wrong w/ being a combo guard. Westbrook is the same thing.

Try To Stay Healthy, Bro.

QUOTE(#1):

Um......that is not the 'only thing'The most important thing is that he actually tries to play defense, cause all he does is slack off and play for the steal on a pass.

Everytime he plays defense he gets his ankles broken. Not good for the team overall. Those ankles can't hold up at all...

he is of the jamal crawford school of defense......NONEas taught by headmaster Mike D'A but they are starting a new class this year....the 'ole

If Curry played better defense, you'd find some other shortcoming in his game. Admit it; you never like him in the 1st place. Curry is a stud, whether you like it or not.

Bingo....They will finish in the top 4 in the west if not top 3.

Would you rather him play D and get his ankle broken again like it did twice last season and have him miss 10+ games? Or would you rather him not play D and carry your team to victory with his offensive prowess?

lol....who cares where they finish in the regular season?its how they play in the playoffs that countdenver finished #3 & the clips #4 last year- how'd that work out for them?no defense- no rings

yes and this past postseason they gave the Spurs all they could handle without Lee and the new added Iggy. They didnt lose to the spurs bc of NO defense but they lost bc they were out manned....

Also not having harrison Barnes who was killing them in the series until he got knocked on his head...

Doesnt someone have to be the favorite out west? The spurs? Clips? Grizz? thunder? They are just as good as any of those teams in my eyes....

out manned ?lolyou mean cause parker averaged like 25 points a game vs them?got it

no i dont get it...Parker is a top player in the nba.....And that is why they got a guy like Iggy that can play defense on him....Got IT?

Yes outmanned......You know Lee who lead the NBA in double-doubles last year? also this was their first time in the playoffs and they wouldnt have gotten there with out Curry carrying them that....

Also not EVERY player can be BOTH a Top OFFENSIVE player and DEFENSIVE player like you have in your head...There are few if any that have played in the Last 15 to 20 years in the NBA...

QUOTE(#16):

I mean the spurs had a wonderful run- but they beat a depleted/kobe-less laker teaman offense-less memphis team And GS beat a regular season run & gun team without their #1 scorer.its not like either team beat a LEGIT team during their playoff runs* they beat who they played- not saying otherwisebut its not like they had to run through powerhouses

Well isnt that the point...To beat WHO they have to play? Your logic of lack of is ridiculous....

So other who actually played anyone in the playoffs last year? Are we just going to vacate the title last year bc not every one can play the 97 bulls, 2001 lakers and 89 pistonson their way to the championship.
