07:21 AM ET 10.08 | Cubs fans are used to waiting, something they're being asked to do in an underway managerial search. While waiting for Joe Girardi to decide his future with the Yankees, the Cubs have officially expanded their search for a new manager. According to a source familiar with the Cubs' search, former Nationals and Indians manager Manny Acta and Padres bench coach Rick Renteria have surfaced as candidates. They join A.J. Hinch, the Padres' assistant general manager and former Diamondbacks manager. The status of those candidates, however, may hinge on whether Girardi elects to stay with the Yankees or to pursue other opportunities, such as the Cubs' job. Published reports out of New York on Monday stated that the Yankees will give Girardi as much time as he needs to make a decision.

If he did - then there has been collusion since NYY's denied CHC the right to talk to him.....

Nothing better than taking a photo op standing next to a brick wall covered in weeds. Instead of a manager, they need a landscaper.

Doesn't matter who their manager is. You could have Casey Stengel in his prime or JoJo the Circus Clown. Either way it's the Cubs and they aren't winning anything.

Who would want to be affiliated with a team that blames all their problems on a goat?

I'll bet Theo cringes every time he sees that promo picture of himself taken when he was hired.

Bartman was more like a donkey...a DUMMASS!
Not that he remotely deserved all the crap that was poured on him, but he was still stupid.

Bartman did what any other fan would have done, going after souvenir. He did not reach into field of play and therefore he had every right to go for ball. There was no guarantee that Alou would have even made the catch. Bartman had nothing to do with cubs getting blown out the next game.
