Top recruit sticking with Illini
Illinois basketball fans can relax. The Illini's highest-rated recruit in decades, 6-foot-6-inch sophomore Jereme Richmond of Waukegan, is maintaining his allegiance to the orange and blue. In fact, Richmond laughs when asked if there's any chance he could pull an Eric Gordon on the Illini. Gordon reneged on his commitment and wound up at Indiana.

Richmond commited as a Frosh because he wanted to, not because he was heavily recruited. He reportedly has always wanted to play for Illinois, something that shouldn't change anytime soon.
