11:11 AM ET 10.08 | It's been somewhat of a rough weekend for the Syracuse Orange. This past Saturday, they played their first game ever as a member of the ACC and were rudely welcomed into their new conference at home in the Carrier Dome by the third-ranked Clemson Tigers, 49-14. Now, they have to deal with the loss of a veteran defensive back for the rest of the season. Head coach Scott Shafer confirmed today that senior defensive back Keon Lyn will miss the rest of the season with what Shafer described as a "lower-body injury that is going to require some surgery." Lyn is a three-year starter for the Orange and was an integral part of the secondary the last few seasons.

Not a lot of Syracuse fans on today. Good luck on the rehab.

Surgery...ugh. Best wishes on a speedy recovery, young Mr. Lyn.
