07:12 AM ET 10.09 | For his part, Ryan Tannehill says the two dozen sacks he has suffered this season haven't taken their toll. His body said otherwise. The Miami Dolphins quarterback has a softball-sized welt on his back. He has rug burn on his throwing wrist. And even he acknowledges that it's bound to get worse if the protection doesn't get better. "Obviously, we want to get it fixed and I don't want to be taking that many hits," Tannehill said. "You're more susceptible to injuries when you're taking that many hits. "Obviously, all it takes is one." ... How long he remains standing, however, largely depends on how the offensive line plays when the team returns from its bye. The Dolphins broke for the week Tuesday, and the players will have five days off before returning to prepare for the Bills.

He should contact David Carr's trainer from his Houston Texans days.

Tannehill and Flacco are tough SOB's but their O-lines better shape up. At least I'm glad the Ravens traded for Monroe.

you mean the 'human tackling dummy'?

As a former WR he's better equipped to take a hit, but still somebody is going to light him up.

Why did they trade Jake Long again?

He was a free agent. They got out bid.

To see how he dealt with PTSD?

They knew this from the get go and failed to fix the holes on the O-Line during the offseason. This is going to really hurt the team as the season drags on.

That's OK. He's only 25, and he can be on his parents' health insurance until he's 26, thanks to Obamacare.
