07:27 AM ET 10.09 | That's not "Suuuuu ..." they're hollering in Nashville. [Ryan Suter] was booed noisily and often during Nashville's home opener Tuesday night. Recently, Predators coach Barry Trotz fueled the situation by endorsing the jeering of Suter by fans. That made for an interesting conversation Tuesday morning when Suter bumped into his former coach. "I said, 'I thought we were a little closer than that,'" Suter said. ... Said Trotz, "I do like Ryan. I just know Section 303's not going to let him off the hook. So I've just played along with it. Ryan's a big part of our history. He's an exceptional defenseman, and we know it. One thing you'll find out about the Nashville fans, they are passionate. Ryan is like one of our family, seeing him as an 18-year-old, but he's the enemy now."

Perhaps Ryan could look at a photo of the 12 million dollars he'll be paid this to make himself feel better.

Hey, Ryan, you want to be close to Trotz? Should've stayed in Nashville.

Like Barry said, you're the enemy now. Grow a pair.

Bunch of hillbillies.

The management and players try to pretend that its "just a business," but there is a personal side to it. The fans don't like losing a player like him even if another team offered him a boatload more money.

I hear Nashville is a really cool town. I just wouldn't go "off the Island," if you get my drift?

LOL. Nashville is a great town. Especially if you like C&W and Bluegrass which I do.

The section that used to rag Chelios. The one where he told that 'lady' to shave under her arms.

I've been in bars like that. Not for a long while though and my record in bar fights is still unblemished. About 0-12 if I remember right. Oops, there goes another flock of 'em. Being serious for a minute, most of the places I've been in Nashville, both big and small, have been pretty enjoyable places to go and listen to the music. Pretty nice town in my experience. I'm sure there must be crummy spots, but I haven't found any on my trips there.
