03:58 PM ET 10.09 | It's no secret that the New York Mets are going to be searching for a player who can provide both defense and power in their lineup. Before the season ended, Cincinnati Reds outfielder Shin-Soo Choo was already getting some interest from this organization as a possible free agent target. With multiple teams in the hunt for this young Cuban prospect, the Mets could become a favorite to sign the 26-year-old first baseman. According to reports, New York Mets scouts were impressed. With teams like the Marlins, Giants, Rangers, Red Sox, Nationals, Pirates and White Sox also showing interest, New York is going to have to step up a contract offer, if they do in fact plan to offer him one.

The Mets are not going to stick with Ike Davis? Ha Ha. The Mets will have 2 Very wealthy Teams like the Rangers and Redsox. The Yankees are not even mentioned. I I can see a big bidding war this summer for him. I hope he is worth it.
