Chiefs fans to try to break noise record

12:14 AM ET 10.12 | You may recall earlier this season, the Seattle Seahawks attempted to break Guinness world record for loudest crowd roar in an outdoor sports stadium against the San Francisco 49ers. They were successful, but now they may have competition, a group of Kansas City Chiefs fans are attempting to break the record set by Seattle fans just a few weeks back. The group of fans have also been given assistance from the Chiefs organization, who has paid $7,500 dollars to fly in a Guinness adjudicator.

The shape of CenturyLink Field helps trap the noise. I can't see the record being broken anywhere but in a dome.

Arrowhead Stadium is way too open. Even if they have louder fans, their stadium is at an acoustic disadvantage.

They had the record previously at 124db. They only have to exceed 136 to break it.
