09:59 AM ET 10.12 | A high-level UT source says the university's decision-makers are increasingly preoccupied with Texas A&M. The source said there is a palpable sense that Aggies successes since moving to the Southeastern Conference last year have raised the ante for Texas. "What they are concerned about is not just a football season or a football team," the source said. ???What they're concerned about is that we're going to lose this kind-of war to A&M. They are really paranoid about A&M. "And not just in sports, by the way."

Solution: Get a UTx grad in the Governor's office in Austin. Put the sheep lovers back in their place.

This is just too funny.

After the season Manziel will declare for the NFL and Sumlin will be the coach in Dallas or in NY.

It's RRR weekend in Dallas, and the Dallas Morning News will print anything to sell papers.

Yesterday it was "Eyes Upon UT's next sports moves" plastered on the front page. This is their one chance a year to get a huge sales bump.

Texas is a big State. Somehow I think they can handle it if both are successful. Some would say that is a good thing.

Yep. The article quoted Red McCombs and he was basically saying the same thing. But as usual it's the unnamed "high level" source that used the word "paranoid" and that's what sells papers. It was probably ****.

Yep. All the rusty cows need to worry about right now is the game at the Fair.

Good point. California is a big State and they have more than one good college football team.

It only makes sense. Texas leads the country in producing top football players, some will stay home. Jeesh! Some just cannot handle prosperity.

No need to worry... Texas still has that snazzy TV Network to fall back on.

As one who has degrees from both UMich and TAMU, I can understand that UTx might be deeply concerned about losing regional loyalty (not to mention state government funding) to the Aggies.

Let me suggest to the Longhorns that all is not lost. Replace your arrogance with a measure of humility and put your nether regions to the grindstone.

Bragging about your 2 degrees = humility. Got it.

Good job on picking Mizzou today. I would have lost my shorts, as I would have picked Georgia at home.

Maybe I'm being a little premature, as we still have a half to play.
