10:04 AM ET 10.12 | Deion "Prime Time" Sanders was temporarily sidelined by the charter school that bears his nickname. But he got his job back Friday -- with expanded duties. Sanders' removal from Prime Prep Academy came after a confrontation Wednesday in which the school's chief financial officer, Kevin Jefferson, says he was assaulted by Sanders. Dallas police are investigating the exchange between Sanders and Jefferson, which occurred during a meeting at the academy's Oak Cliff campus. Sanders acknowledged that a "confrontation" occurred but denied an assault took place. A news release on the Prime Prep website Friday said Sanders was no longer an employee at the academy. No reason was given. But Friday afternoon, T. Christopher Lewis, chairman of the board of directors at Uplift Fort Worth, which is the school's governing body, said that Sanders was once again an employee at the school. He is one of the school's football coaches and its athletic director. "We have decided that we are going to continue to work together to accomplish the -- goals that we set out," Lewis said.

"Christopher Lewis, chairman of the board .... said that Sanders was once again an employee at the school.

What he didn't say is whither the school's chief financial officer, Kevin Jefferson still was.

No prime time money, no school.

I just wish NFLN would replace him. He makes it unwatchable, always shilling for buddies and absolutely never criticizing bad play by a buddy, ala Bruschi on ESPN.

The story I read said that Deion was standing up for higher academic achievement for student athletes. If that's the case, it was the right thing to do.

I'm all for higher accountability for academic standards. Not sure an alleged assault is the way to go about it, though.

I don't support this POS being fired. I support this POS being set on fire.
