07:23 AM ET 10.14 | Without tight end Rob Gronkowski, again, the Patriots won on Sunday, topping the Saints in improbable fashion. [Gronkowski] is "dying to play" and those who doubt that don't "really know the whole story," according to his mother, Diane. Diane Gronkowski spoke to the Herald [Sunday] in defense of her son, who missed the Pats' 30-27 win over the New Orleans Saints at Gillette Stadium. There's been so much news swirling around the Pats tight end in recent days with regard to his playing status, including one report yesterday that suggested teammates were starting to resent the fact he had been practicing for weeks but not playing. Diane Gronkowski said that people and unnamed sources who are casting stones just don't know the whole story. "All I can say is Robbie is dying to play. He wants to get out there."

Well, at least his mom didn't call him "Little Robbie."

Perhaps some Chunky soup is in order, Mom.

"While I was making Little Robbie his pancakes and cutting his breakfast sausages, he said, 'Mommy, I really want to play. THIS much!'"

Here we go again. Couldn't stand it when Kurt Warner's wife opened up her hole in front of the world, and then didn't Donovan McNabb's mom say something too? Nice that you care about your son mom, but you make your son look like an idiot who can't fight his own battles.

I kinda see Gronk as a six foot six inch 265 pound eight year old.

Right now the Dark Lord is trying to figure out how to stop family members from talking to the press, as well

The look on Rob Ryan's face when the Pats scored with 5 seconds left was priceless.

Hopefully we get to see a similar look on his twin's face soon.

Instead of fans yelling Gronk. Maybe fans should start yelling " Robbie ", much more intimidating. Maybe his coach should call him Robbie, then he might start trying to act like a grown up.

The truth is I thought New England would be 3-3 right now and fans praying for Robbies Return, but the truth is they have done just fine 5-1 without Hernandez and Gronk. That alone gets my vote for Belichick and Brady for the HOF.

Has anyone interviewed Amedola's mom?

October 14, 2013  08:59 AM ET

OMG, now his mommy is chiming in on him not playing. This POS needs to go away. Hernandez has an empty bunk in his cell.......

What a contrast in fashion tastes. Brady shows up for the press conference in a $500.00 sweater, the only thing missing was a pipe in one hand and the playbook in the other. Belichick shows up in a $20.00 hoodie the only thing missing was some chewing tobacco or some papers and a bag of tobacco.
