Jazz interested in Marquis Teague

02:43 PM ET 10.14 | Trey Burke out of the Utah Jazz has been the Rookie of the Year pick by a lot of outlets, but I'm not so high on him. He is undersized for the point guard position, he isn't a great shooter, and he appears to be over his head. He has put up box scores that say 3-for-10 way too many times for my liking. Nonetheless, Burke broke his finger in Utah's last preseason game, and it looks like they may be trying for a trade. Teague is a second-year player for the Bulls, who didn't see much time for them last season. His older brother Jeff is a borderline all-star for the Hawks, so he has some good blood in him, though. It makes sense that the Bulls would trade Teague, as they already have Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich, and they don't have much need for another point guard on the roster.

He's a talented guy, but hasn't proven much or has played very many minutes. Jazz might be a perfect place to do so.

If the Jazz want him.....I say, make them pay for him.

Burke + a 2nd round pick down the line (2016 maybe?) for Teague.

I think that's a fair trade for both teams.

I like Marquis Teague and I think he'd be a good fit in Utah. The question is, what's his trade value at this point in his young career?

If I'm Chicago, I hang on to him and allow him to get some more seasoning and if need be, trade him around the deadline time. I think they would get more in return for him then.

On the whole, he's not very good.

Can't shoot......turns the ball over.....can't run the offense.

Burke is better skilled and is a better scorer. Since he'll be out for the next 2 to 2 1/2 months, the Bulls should be able to pry him from Utah for Teague who's ready to play (if you want to call it that) right now.

Add a second round pick to the mix.....this would be the best the Bulls can hope for in trading Teague. Long term.....Teague will be a career backup.
