Seattle wants its noise record back

07:12 AM ET 10.16 | Arrowhead Stadium is one imposing place to play, and, officially, the loudest in the NFL -- but Seattle hopes to change that. The former Seahawks defender who organized Seattle's record attempt for loudest crowd roar says Guinness World Records has given the go-ahead to try again in December, now that Kansas City Chiefs fans have usurped the 12th Man's previous record. If he can get the Seahawks and fans on board, organizer Joe Tafoya tweeted, the next attempt would be during the "Monday Night Football" game Dec. 2 against the New Orleans Saints at CenturyLink Field. "Just heard from Guinness World Records," Tafoya wrote late Monday on Twitter. "We are OK to make another attempt on MNF if the fans & organization want."

So football isn't important. This is why it's Seattle.

On Seattle's next attempt, they should probably invite more than just those 12 fans

I think it's kinda cool that the fans are into doing this. I don't like the Chiefs, but it always bothered me that Arrowhead wasn't recognized as the loudest stadium. Given how much they pay to attend the game, I say let the fans knock themselves out while they're there.

I think the City of Seattle slogan is: "Cold, but damp!".

I guess for KC to have that sound level record against Oakland was appropriate. Did they really need it ? Maybe they should save some of that noise for when they host Denver on Dec 1.

Between the October game against Oakland last week, and their December 1 game against Denver, Kansas City only plays 2 out of 7 games on the road. November 3 @ Buffalo, BYE WEEK, November 17 @ Denver.

As a 49er fan I hope KC wins their next 2 games or at least 2 more games this season, that assures that the 49ers will get KC's 2nd round pick in 2014, from the trade for Alex Smith.

Who cares about the noise, KC kicks Seattle's arse in the parking lot buffet's.

The only real measurement is in how many false start and delay of games penalties each team's fan base creates. That being said the happiest person is the Guinness Records man who gets a free trip to a Great City and also one to Kansas City.

Seattle had to design their stadium to hold noise in. It has overhangs while Arrowhead doesn't. Arrowhead is an old stadium that is completely open. Go ahead and try Seattle. If you somehow surpass the record, KC will take it right back.

That's why Dole makes Seattle his hometown.

CenturyLink Field has the architectural advantage. If they can't significantly separate themselves from the sound levels produced at Arrowhead Stadium, then KC clearly has the louder fans.

Regardless, I'm just happy that the world record belongs to an NFL team and not a soccer club.
