07:24 AM ET 10.16 | From Queens to the Bronx, via San Francisco and St. Louis? Carlos Beltran, who has become one of the most clutch players in postseason history (except for that one night at Shea), could be on the Yankees' radar this winter, a move the former Met, sources say, would strongly consider. According to multiple sources, the Yankees could be in the market for an outfielder this winter as they look to add some pop to a lineup that finished next-to-last in the American League in home runs and 10th in runs scored. Beltran would fit the bill, having averaged 28 homers during his past two seasons in St. Louis and 24 per year since making his full-time debut in 1999. A source familiar with Beltran's thinking said the 36-year-old -- he'll turn 37 in April -- would be interested in a potential move to the Bronx.

Cardinals are built to contend for the next 3-4 years. Why would he want to leave? Just sayin. Of course that means if he leaves, move Craig to Right, and put Adams at 1st.....

In todays game players don't care about staying with a winning team....they only care about signing them big-muti $$$$$$$$$$ contracts......its all about money first and the team second.

He is younger than mo and andy......Just sayin:)

Also quite a bit younger than ARod.

I know - but for some - it's still about getting a ring.......

The Cardinals are a very smart organization and I am sure they are reading the same articles everyone else has read. They probably tender number 3 a contract for 14 and if he turns it down and signs with the Yankees a draft pick will come the Cards way.

And Beltran doesn't have one - YET.......

Just what the Yankees need - another aging, injury prone player.

Good morning Lou. Looks like the Cards are headed to the Fall Classic again. I don't see them dropping 3 in a row.

True, but with Ramirez looking like he's done for the year, I don't see the Dodgers making that happen.

And the Dodgers have Greinke, and Kershaw coming down the next two starts...... it'll get real interesting.

Teams down 3-1 have come back 11 times.

Dodgers have a pitchers chance.

Still like the Cards chances better.
