07:13 AM ET 10.17 | In this case -- that the The Jaguars still rank last in the NFL in total offense -- doesn't capture the narrative. [With] receiver Justin Blackmon back in the lineup, the Jaguars might not be in the offensive cellar much longer. ... The Jaguars were averaging 224 yards a game through their first four contests. That total not only was last in the league, but was 50 yards a game back of 31st-ranked Tampa Bay. Now, the gap is closing. The Jaguars have averaged 362.5 yards in their last two games. ... Blackmon's return has also helped on the scoreboard. The Jaguars averaged 7.8 points in their first four games, but have averaged 19.5 in the last two. After throwing for 700 yards in the first four games combined, the Jaguars have gained 558 yards through the air over the last two games.

Yeah, he's a real Anne Sullivan.

He is just taking advantage of Cecil Shorts injury. Watch his stocks plummet once Shorts is back 100% healthy.

Never heard of him

Keep your eye on the DUI blotter, you'll learn about him.

Way to find that silver lining, Jaguars. That will put another 10-15 people into the stands on Sunday.

Didn't this "marked improvement" happen about the time Blaine Gabbert got injured and was replaced by Chad Henne?

That seems counterintuitive. He'd get more balls, sure, but defenses should be able to focus more on him - send a safety his way every time, when Shorts is out.

He obviously can be a beast, but can he be that consistently?

Which all begs the question: " If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it , does it make a sound?"

Miracles do happen.....about 150 miles to the SW of Jacksonville.

Perhaps they're going for the "quietest football stadium" record in the Guinness Book.

Miracle is that he's still sober. Allegedly.

Yeah but gabby didn't have Blackmon to throw to and Blackmon has been putting up tremendous numbers thru a small sample size(hopefully he stays out of jail and out of the hospital) but don't get me wrong im over the gabber thing just hoping the jags get the first pick and hit on a good qb...the jags better improve before blackmons contract is up or you'll be hearing about him making catches on a good team
