05:38 PM ET 10.17 | New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith hasn't had the smoothest transition to the NFL, but he has shown some flashes of brilliance early in his career. While Smith still clearly has some work to do, he believes that he has the skill set to become one of the league's top signal-callers. Smith was asked if he would develop into an elite quarterback and he responded, "Yes," before explaining why. Many of the league's elite quarterbacks have had early struggles, so Jets fans shouldn't be overly concerned about what they have seen in the early going. What they should do instead is focus on the good moments they have seen, while believing in Smith's ability to grow and put in the work to be the best quarterback that he can be. In the end, hopefully it will pay off and Smith's prediction will be true.

"This time need to see what will the prediction will happen."

That sounds like it was written by a certain NFL player.

Geno needs to think harder in games and not about his future.

I think Geno is caught up in the whole "NYC celebrity" thing. That's a major distraction.Next, he'll be partying with Rhianna.

Absolutely right. Try changing this guy's name to Andrew Luck and hearing the same thing. Luck would never say that.

Geno says he's a worker which tells me he's not working enough.

Geno is definitely putting the cart before the horse as far as his career goes. I'm reminded of something VY once said when asked by a reporter what he thought of this own skills. VY said: "I'm on another level, man".
