07:28 AM ET 10.18 | According to Scott Boras, the market has shifted, possibly out of New York's favor. [These] are different days in The Bronx when it comes to free agents being seduced by the Yankees. "It's the first time in a lot of years the Yankees have to prove to major free agents they will be competitive next year," Boras told The Post Thursday. "That's never really been a question in New York, but they have so many spots to fill. It's a different place." Boras brought the topic up when asked about Korean pitcher Suk-Min Yoon, a right-hander represented by Boras, who said Yoon is a free agent. Despite reports the 27-yeer-old Yoon will participate in a showcase event for MLB clubs shortly, Boras said that won't be the case. Boras says he plans to talk to Yankees general manager Brian Cashman about Yoon next week.

for shame, players have to shoose between the obscene amount of money or being on a winning team now. Gone are the days where they could get both. well, maybe the dodgers, but it will catch up to them in the coming few years.

Boras (and other agents in the same mindset) have collectively RUINED the game we grew up loving. F him.

Yeah. None of those 27 World Championships ever happened, just folk tales they started spreading around the Bronx years ago. You're already the talking meatball of the day and I haven't even finished my coffee.

Me neither (finished coffee that is) - and I have to agree. The history is still there, always will be, they had a tough year, and while I don't agree with the way the organization has been run (the "mega deals" anyway) - it's still the NY Yankmees...... Pinstripes are still in.....

If Boras isn't trying to drive up the price of his free agents, he isn't working.

I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times..... there is no one to blame but the fans...... they dump money in, the owners dole it out........ simple.....
