02:59 PM ET 10.19 | It's not easy for the Los Angeles Clippers to share a home arena with one of the most successful franchises in the NBA, but it is something that they have been getting used to. However, they are hoping to finally emerge from the Los Angeles Lakers' shadow and they decided to make the first step covering up the Lakers championship banners. The Lakers' 16 NBA championship banners and some retired jerseys from the Laker greats were covered up by banners and images of current Clippers players. The next step for the Clippers will be to finally live up to their talent level and find a way to charge through the Western Conference and get a banner of their own.

If Doc and the Clippers want to cover up the Laker's championship banners. How about moving out of the Laker's arena. That might help.

Lame. How about using the banners to motivate your team to do something similar rather than hiding from them?
