James Neal to miss time for Penguins

04:59 PM ET 10.20 | James Neal has only seen three minutes of action through the young 2013-14 NHL season due to injury. The Pittsburgh Penguins keep cranking out wins without him, and that's a good thing since he is going to be on the shelf for at least another two weeks. Neal had developed some outstanding chemistry while playing on a line with Evgeni Malkin. The Penguins committed a longer term to Neal than anyone on their current roster, and have high hopes for him as a player moving forward. Still, this injury is just another footnote in a long string of IR visits for the Penguins and their star players over the last few seasons.

I loved the way him and Geno work together on the same line. The Pens have enough talent in the system so they can make up for him in the short run, but it will be great to see him back.

You've got to sit Geno and Sid out to even things out a little. Not fair having so much talent! :-(

Its amazing that the Pens are bringing kids up from Wilkes-Barre, plugging them in and winning. What's even more amazing is that the Baby Pens are 6 - 0 - 0.
