05:01 PM ET 10.20 | Rookie Joseph Randle is set to start for the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles after yet another injury to DeMarco Murray, which sparked some trade rumors on Sunday morning that the team could be looking for a running back before the NFL trade deadline. However, shortly after the report has come to light, the team and many close to the organization have vehemently denied they are looking to add a running back in the next few weeks. A trade would make sense for Dallas, when you consider all of the injury issues that have plagued Murray since taking over as the starting running back, but apparently they have confidence he will be able to stay healthy down the stretch and help the team.

Haha well that whole "Cowboys are about to trade for a running back" story lasted all of about five minutes.

Thankfully. Last thing Dallas needs is to mortgage their future by trading away valuable draft picks for a (most likely) marginal upgrade at running back.

One interesting trade to consider at the RB position for the Cowboys would be for the Niners underutilized LaMichael James or Kendall Hunter, or even a FA in Michael Turner.

True... They will be around $31 million dollars over the cap next season.

with release of Ratliff last week it put them even way more over the cap for the upcoming year. they got serious cap issues to resolve. they will be lucky to get a cup of coffee.

I hope Jerry's got that pesky looming cap issue all figured out.

I don't think Randle is the man to get the job done, at least by yesterday's performance. Meanwhile Doug Free was lapsing into his old self!
