07:32 AM ET 10.21 | With injuries up front and a sputtering offense, the Blueshirts have recalled Chris Kreider. [The Rangers are] hoping this time the speedy, strong winger will stick. General manager Glen Sather and coach Alain Vigneault elected to start Kreider in the AHL this season, hoping their 2009 first-round pick would rebuild his confidence after bouncing back-and-forth between New York and Hartford last season. But they can afford to wait no longer to give Kreider, 22, another chance. The Rangers (2-5-0) have been outscored 29-11 through seven games, including a 4-0 shutout loss to the Devils Saturday night in Newark. The Blueshirts' offense, defense and goaltending all were subpar in New Jersey, but their 11 goals are tied with the Philadelphia Flyers for the lowest total in the NHL.

Like spaghetti, if he's cooked enough.

Dang! That's less than a third of what the Edmonton Oilers allowed against!

Are Kreider sticks legal in the NHL?

Doesn't score, doesn't do much, but he's a big guy, so my thinking is (he has) no stick

1 - 0 in a shoot out. (10th round of the shoot out when the first goal is scored.)
Haven't really seen him when he was in the AHL, but when he was up the first time, Kreider was good. Maybe he'll be a better fit with Alain than old 3 fingers.

He is having a decent yr. down in Hartford. He needs to come up and stay up with the big club. There was a story recently out of Ottawa, that Rangers were shopping him and MDZ...who knows. All I have to say his, hate Torts all you want, even down to a pudgy out of shape Richards he essentially took the exact same team to the playoffs.

AV sucks point blank! Sent all the kids down for various reasons, now he has to eat crow and bring them back up because Powe, Boyle, Moore, Dorsett et al. **** !!! I call BS on the "learning the system" unless they moved the nets, red line and blue lines I dont see what the problem is. Well maybe I do, we got 6 players and a laundry list of has-beens.

I will say it again, I never wanted Nash; I was happy with a fragile Gaborik and wouldve liked to seen Sather back fill the second line.

Someone tell MDZ he belongs in the ECHL.

I hope for the kids sake they do show some faith. No one is proving that they can play....and King Henrik looks tired of it.

How many years can you guys keep grabbing superstars that underperformance every year? I agree with you on Nash. MDZ was starting to look good and then.......BOOM!

The team has struggled system or not, and with Tortz as well, and he barely made the playoffs.....not to mention it was Lundqvist as usual that gave them that chance....not Tartz!
