03:11 PM ET 10.21 | Football certainly isn't on the mind of Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley right now, nor is it on the the Green Bay Packers. However, the team, sad and inappropriate as it may be to say, needs to figure out their next move in the wake of Finely's devastating and scary injury. Whatever move they make, it'll most likely need to be for a large remainder of the season as it's unlikely they'll know the playing status of Finley for weeks.

I'm surprised I haven't seen it yet... ESPN usually shows an injury in super slow mo 100 times.

I've always seen JF as a fence sitter; not sure if he's good enough to keep or just needs to be cut loose. With his hands problem in recent years and now this new injury, he might be looking for a new team next year.

Interesting that for the last 3-4 years Finley was looked at as a bit of a head case. Now - just as he shows signs of growing up, this happens.

He should speak at the Rookie symposium about not being bullet-proof... not that anyone would listen.

He talked about retiring after his concussion a month ago. Ill be surprised if he comes back.

I guess it is a good thing they picked up Chris Harper. I thought Green Bay was going to add a new word to their vocabulary - Trade - I thought they should have made a trade for Tony Gonzalez. A trade like that would definitely put them as a favorite to win the NFC.

Off topic question: has there ever been a MNF game when the two teams' records were a combined worse than last night's 1-10?

He'll have to take this injury day-to-day ... I would be surprised if he were to return -- but look at Manning. You never know! Wish him good luck and Go Pack!

It didn't seem so bad at first but when you look at it several times it's pretty unnerving. Still, I don't think it was a dirty hit on Gipson's part.
