03:25 PM ET 10.21 | The Los Angeles Dodgers have wasted no time in adding pieces to a roster that reached the National League Championship series, signing Cuban infielder Alexander Guerrero to a four-year, $28-million deal that could reach $32 million with incentives. Guerrero, who is represented by agent Scott Boras, worked out for the Dodgers half a dozen times, according to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times, but there were "four or five other teams" that also saw him that much. The signing of Guerrero should finally put a stop to the rumors that have been circulating for more than a month involving the Dodgers and free agent second baseman Robinson Cano. Despite repeated comments from owner Magic Johnson, many continued to believe the team would pursue Cano during the offseason.

The Dodger second baseman killed them in the playoffs, this just might be the answer.
