03:27 PM ET 10.21 | A mere 24 hours after the Ole Miss Rebels enjoyed undoubtedly their biggest win of the year by defeating the LSU Tigers 27-24, the team received some bad news that tight end Evan Engram will have to undergo season-ending ankle surgery. Engram injured his ankle in Saturday's big win over their SEC foe in the second half, after totaling 28 yards on two catches. For the season, the true freshman finishes with 265 yards on 20 catches and three touchdowns, which is good enough for fourth on the team. Before the season even started, it wasn't even a certainty that Engram would be in the offensive plans for the Rebels, but he quickly became the surprise of this Ole Miss offense as they've begun to make some strides in recent weeks since being shut out by Alabama.

With all the big games this past weekend, surely there is better material to work with.
