07:12 AM ET 10.22 | Despite the call so many were talking about Monday in New England, not many Patriots fans felt as if the team deserved to win on Sunday. The Patriots believe, that in the end, they didn't make enough plays on Sunday to defeat the New York Jets. While that may be true, there's also something else that New England didn't bring to the table in that game: energy. "There's a lot of plays we left out there that we have to -- moving forward -- learn from," said Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich on Monday. "We've got to bring more energy to away games, and try to match the energy that are in the stadiums that we're going to, in these away games. ... You've got to start fast. That's huge in this league. Starting the game fast, starting the second half fast. I don't think that we had that sense of urgency."

Wih all due respect to Mr. Ninkovich, they were also missing their best defensive lineman, their best linebacker and their best defensive back. And Danny Amendola has started a few games, but I'm not sure he's finished any.

But if they didn't put in the effort, he is right and not being able to beat Geno Smith after they beat Drew Brees...really? That was a p.o.s. effort so I agree with Mr. Ninkovich DD!

Considering they paid Amendola more than they offered Welker, they're missing a best WR also. Amendola wasn't even active on Sunday.

Plus, Brady just isn't being Brady this year.

He has definitely not been on the mark especially on the long throws.

When the end of an era comes... it comes like this. Having seen it first hand, I can attest.

Plus the Jets just outright beat them. The Jets beat them phsically. They destroyed them in time of possession. Their rookie QB outplayed Tom Brady. And they outcoached them. Those are probably some of the other reasons why the Patriots lost.

He comes up short on the intermediate throws as well. He also has missed opportunities to get the ball to his receivers when they are wide open as a result of blown coverages.

Sometimes, people don't want to look at a simple thing like that.

At the same time, he's working with a bunch of inexperienced receivers, the O Line has not been doing a good job of keeping him off the ground, and the playing calling has been suspect.

The Jets defensive line definitely took charge in the second half. Brady had no time to let plays develop. The new receivers are "starting" to learn the system, but they're not there yet, and they are not always in the spot that Brady is throwing to.

Given the Pats' pass coverage on Sunday, Otis could have completed those passes.

The all of the Patriots has begun, this team will slowly decend in the ranks, and maybe Brady retires if not this yr. next for sure.

Excluding Talib, Troy Brown could play better than what they have in the secondary right now.

Tom has been off on his passing accuracy all season.
Don't know how much of it is the new receivers and him not being on the same page, but some of the misses are all on Tom.
Is his age beginning to show?

You overrate my arm. Josh Freeman is better.

There's your very low bar.

Bar? That's more like a sunken storm drain.
