07:17 AM ET 10.22 | For the most part, the starting lineup in Detroit is set -- but not between Jonas Jerebko and Charlie Villanueva. [Neither] has been impressive enough for Maurice Cheeks to commit to playing one over the other. With Andre Drummond, Josh Smith and Greg Monroe guaranteed spots in the playing rotation, there is room for only one more spot along the front line. But with only about a week left before the season opener, the Pistons' coach said Monday that he will take it on a night-by-night basis. "Either one of those guys could play at any given time," Cheeks said when asked if he expected to pick a winner in the preseason fight. "Initially, I really thought that was the case, but I don't necessarily agree with my thinking in that area as much as I did."

The headline is misleading.....because neither of the players mentioned have a honest shot at starting......they don't even have a remote shot at starting.

QUOTE(#2):

If I am reading this right.....and they considering Charliev ......to be a starter or major rotation player? Then I take back my prediction that Detroit is a playoff team

The fact that they signed Chauncey 'stick a fork in him' Billups says all that you need to know about Detroit.
