07:16 AM ET 10.23 | Fans of quarterback Brandon Weeden have to like these odds. There's a "90 percent chance" the Browns will start [Weeden] Sunday against the 7-0 Chiefs, but he's "on a short leash," a league source told cleveland.com Tuesday. The source said some in the Browns' organization have grown weary of Weeden's ineffectiveness, and that they won't hesitate to play Jason Campbell if he continues to struggle. In Kansas City, Weeden will face a relentless defense that's No. 1 in the NFL with 35 sacks -- 10 more than the No. 2 team, Baltimore. They're also first with 64 passes defensed and tied for third with 10 interceptions. They're first with nine fumble recoveries. Coach Rob Chudzinski said his staff would meet on Monday to decide whether or not to bench Weeden.

He sucks and he is definitely holding a good team back.

KC is going to hammer them. Weeden is probably safer on the bench.

Jason Campbell stands a better chance of evading the KC rush than Weedon and he has a higher upside. When he's on, Campbell is very good. Start Campbell and put the leash back in the cupboard.

sounds about right with the Dawg Pound.

Short leashes are like saying we don't have any other choices.

Eh... I don't know... Jason Campbell does have a great "glass house" impersonation in the pocket.

If nothing else Weeden has solidified one fact... Any QB that is "lighting up" college football at the age of 27, isn't a good prospect for the NFL.
