Report: Manziel is fine

07:28 AM ET 10.23 | A few days after he took a pretty good hit on a scramble up the middle against Auburn, Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel can be considered "hopeful" -- in the words of his head coach -- to play his next game. [Manziel] is expected to play Saturday against Vanderbilt, a source told CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman. Aggies wide receiver Mike Evans told reporters that Manziel was in a sling during Monday's practice, calling into doubt his availability for Saturday's game at home against the Commodores. However, Feldman reports that Manziel is "fine to play" and is now out of the sling -- which, according to senior wide receiver Travis Labhart, was a restrictive measure used to prevent Manziel from throwing. Manziel sustained a shoulder injury early in the fourth quarter of Texas A&M's 45-41 loss.

Manziel's shoulder is fine. He's *STILL* a headcase tough. He'll never be a top NFL QB.

He probably could sign his name with his toes if he had to.

Nah. Those SEC defenses are going to figure him out now that they've got a year's worth of film to study...

Never a doubt. Loved this tweet from Tim McMahon yesterday:
"I'd rather have Johnny Football throwing left-handed than probably 9 of the QBs in the Big 12."

But, but, the B12 only has 10 teams.

Dude. 16mm ruled the home movie hardware before the advent of VHS. What in the name of St. Michael and St. George would you want with 8mm?

He might be this season. He's my favorite to win the Heisman. Hope he can overcome the south coast bias. :)

He is better than Tebow on the field but much worse off the field. It will be interesting to see which team drafts him.
